About Daily Word
Daily Word is a quick word puzzle you can finish in a few minutes: there's one secret 5-letter word each day, and you have 6 tries to find it. After every try the letters change colour: green means the letter is right and in the right spot, yellow means it's in the word but somewhere else, and gray means it isn't in the word at all.
Everyone playing today gets the same word, and it changes at midnight Cairo time, so you can compare with your friends. The share button copies a grid of coloured squares that never gives the word away, ready to paste into a chat, and there's a story picture you can post too.
Every day you win adds to your streak ๐ฅ, and the game remembers your best streak and how many tries your wins took, right on your device with no sign-up. Finished today's word and still want more? Practice mode gives you random words that never touch your streak.
How to play
- Type any 5-letter word and press ENTER.
- Read the colours: green = right letter, right spot; yellow = in the word, wrong spot; gray = not in the word.
- Use the clues to pick your next word, and find the answer in 6 tries or fewer.
- Share your coloured grid with friends, and come back tomorrow for a new word to grow your streak.

Tips to win
- Start with a word full of common, different letters, like one with A, E, R, S and T, to learn the most on your first try.
- Keep green letters where they are, move yellow ones to a new spot, and don't use gray letters again.
- Letters can repeat: if you're stuck, think of words that use the same letter twice.
- A word that isn't in the list doesn't use up a try, so experiment freely.

When does the daily word change?
Every day at midnight Cairo time, and everyone gets the same word on the same day. When you finish, a countdown shows how long until the next one.
How do I share my result without spoiling the word?
When you finish, press Share: it copies only the puzzle number and coloured squares, no letters. The Story pic button makes an image ready for a story.
Where is my streak saved?
Only on your device, in your browser, with no account. Win every day and the streak grows; miss a day and it starts again, while your best streak stays saved.
Can I play more than one word a day?
Yes, practice mode gives you as many random words as you like, and it never changes your streak or today's word.
