About Dead Signal
Dead Signal is a first-person 3D zombie survival game with realistic graphics, set in the Kestrel Research Station: an abandoned concrete facility with a security lobby, a medical wing, research labs, maintenance tunnels, an armory, a power room and a vast containment hall. Something happened here. A radio signal won't stop, and the staff have turned into the walking dead, tearing the boards off the windows and crawling out of the vents.
It plays in rounds, like the classic zombie survival games: every round brings more zombies that are tougher and faster. Every hit earns points. Spend them on weapons hanging on the walls, on doors that open new parts of the station, and on restoring the power so the perk machines work: more health, faster reloads, faster fire and longer sprints. A mystery crate might hand you a heavy machine gun or the experimental Arc Caster, and a workbench refits any weapon into a deadlier version.
In mission mode you have a goal: restore the power, tune the three signal relays, send a distress call from the containment hall's antenna and hold out against the hulking Warden until the helicopter arrives, then escape from the yard. In endless mode, survive as long as you can. Hidden research logs tell the story, and a secret waits for anyone who breaks all three hidden sigils. Made for players 13 and up, with no blood: zombies crumble to dust when they fall.
How to play
- Choose Start the mission or Endless survival, and pick a difficulty.
- Shoot the zombies climbing in through the windows, and repair the boards by standing at a window and holding F.
- Earn points, buy a weapon off the wall, and open a door to reach the rest of the station.
- Find the power room and switch it on, then buy perks from the machines and try the mystery crate.
- In the mission: tune the three relays, send the signal and hold out, then board the helicopter in the yard.

Tips to win
- Aim for the head: headshots kill faster and pay more points.
- Don't get cornered: lead the horde around in wide loops so they bunch up behind you, then turn and fire.
- Repair windows between rounds and carry a strong weapon before round five, when the lights fail and the runners come.
- Grab the Second Wind perk early: it gets you back on your feet once if you go down.
Dead Signal: questions and answers
Is Dead Signal free to play?
Yes, it is completely free and runs in your browser with no sign-up, and there are no ads inside the game itself.
What age is it for? Is there blood?
It is for players 13 and up because it is a horror shooter, but there is no blood or gore: hits throw up dust and sparks, and zombies crumble to dust when they die.
Do I need a powerful computer?
The graphics are realistic, so it plays best on a computer with a graphics card, but you can pick Low graphics in Settings to run it on weaker machines and fast phones.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your stats, achievements and the logs you found are saved on your device, and if you leave mid-run you can continue from the start of your last round.
How do I get to the power room?
Open the labs or medical wing door from the security lobby, head down into the tunnels, and the power room is to the north-east. The switch is on the wall inside its control room.
