Trailer Driver 2, the sequel to Trailer Driver 3D, is a truck driving game in the streets of downtown Cairo: old apartment blocks with shops, signs and balconies, wide avenues with two lanes each way, narrow side streets, and traffic lights at the junctions. You drive a MAN tractor with a box trailer, starting loaded at the Fast Freight depot.

The job card says where to deliver and the pointer at the top shows the way: a supermarket, an appliance store, a bakery, a furniture showroom, a sweets factory or medical stores, and as your rank goes up a fabric shop, a spice shop and a hotel start ordering too. When you get there, pull into the yard and back the trailer into the yellow bay, stop and collect your pay, then take the empty crates back to the depot, paid too. Every day there's a new shift of three jobs, and finishing it days in a row grows its bonus. The rig is long and heavy: tight corners need a wide line, and the trailer pivots behind the cab, so it swings the opposite way when you reverse.

The streets are busy: white taxis, microbuses, tuk-tuks and lorries stop at the lights and slow down behind you. Hitting a car or a building and running a red light all come out of your money.

How to play

1. Press «Let's go»: your rig is in the depot yard.
2. Drive out of the gate and follow the pointer at the top to the shop on the job card.
3. Pull into its yard, go a little past the yellow bay, then reverse the trailer into it.
4. Stop with the trailer inside the yellow lines to deliver.
5. Take the empty crates back to the depot and back into any yellow bay to get paid and pick the next job.

Controls

Tips to win

• Take corners wide: the trailer cuts the corner if you turn in too early.
• When reversing, steer the opposite way to where you want the trailer to go, in small movements.
• Stop at red lights: each one you run costs 50.
• Finish the daily shift every day: its bonus grows with each day in a row, up to a week.
