About Spell the Word
Spell the Word is a picture spelling game for children aged 6 to 10. A big picture appears, like a giraffe, an apple or a train, with one empty box for each letter of its name. Your child taps the letter tiles in the right order to spell the word, and every letter they place lights up its box and grows the word above it.
There are three levels: Easy has 3-letter words such as CAT, SUN and BEE, Medium has 4-letter words, and Hard has words of 5 letters or more, like ZEBRA, ROCKET and PENGUIN, with a couple of extra letters mixed in to keep young spellers thinking. A wrong letter gives a gentle wiggle while the right one glows, the ๐ก button reveals the next letter, and ๐ reads the word aloud.
When a word is complete, the game says it and celebrates. Each round has 8 words and ends with up to three stars, and the longest run of perfect words is saved on your device. The Arabic version of the page teaches Arabic spelling and shows how separate letters join into a real word. Free, no sign-up and no download.
