About Ghost Maze
Ghost Maze is a neon remake of the maze chase games people played in old arcades, the kind of retro game you remember from a crowded corner shop. You play as Bloop, a little aqua blob with an antenna and a glowing pink bulb, and your job is to eat every single dot in the maze to clear the level.
Four ghosts live in the house in the middle, and each one thinks differently. Ember, the red one, chases you straight on. Plum, the purple one, aims a few tiles ahead to cut you off. Lime, the green one, teams up with Ember to come at you from the side. Sunny, the orange one, closes in from afar but wanders back to its corner once it gets close.
The four big glowing orbs turn the ghosts blue and scared, so you can eat them for 200, 400, 800 and 1600 points while their eyes float back home. A bonus fruit pops up twice a level, the side tunnels wrap you to the other side and slow the ghosts down, you get an extra life at 10,000 points, and every level is a little faster.
How to play
- Press “Play now”, then “Start”, and wait for READY! to go away.
- Steer Bloop with the arrow keys, by swiping, or with the mouse, and eat every dot.
- Keep away from the colored ghosts: if one touches you, you lose a life.
- Eat a big glowing orb, then chase the blue ghosts before they flash white and turn back.
- Clear all the dots to move on to the next level.

Ghost Maze: questions and answers
Is Ghost Maze free to play?
Yes, it's completely free and plays right in your browser on a computer, phone or tablet, with no download or sign-up.
How do I eat the ghosts?
Eat one of the big glowing orbs in the corners of the maze. The ghosts turn blue for a few seconds, and touching one then eats it. Each ghost in a row is worth double: 200, 400, 800, then 1600.
Why do the ghosts move differently?
Each ghost has its own plan: Ember chases you, Plum aims ahead of you, Lime flanks you with Ember, and Sunny gets close and then backs off. Learn their habits and you'll slip past them.
What age is Ghost Maze for?
It suits players from about 7 up. There's nothing violent: when a ghost catches Bloop, it just spins and pops into pixels before trying again.
